Inspired by the book club concept, a Taranaki-based jeweller came up with a bright idea to showcase contemporary design.  Broach of the Month Club is the brainchild of Kristin D’Agostino and the year-long project will be officially launched on Thursday.  It involves a selected group of a dozen people wearing a rotating set of different brooches over the course of one year and then writing about their experiences.  At the end of each month, they meet up to collect a new piece from the 12 in the collection.  Each of the eclectic pieces, designed by New Zealand jewellers, also has its own journal, so at the end of the year the maker gets a record of how each of the wearers felt about donning their piece.  The brooches are wide and varied in terms of design.  It is the first outing of the club in Taranaki, after D’Agostino moved to the region in January. .........  (click the link for the full article )   For more information follow broachofthemonth on Instagram.
