5 Artists across 5 mediums each submit 5 works in a 5” by 5” format.
Early in 2015, I curated a show reflecting on the asymmetrical possibilities of the single earring and resulted in a show called “Symmetry is the Work of the Devil”. In conversation with artists, I realised that others have been fascinated by this issue and responded through their practice. So, I am interested in a group project about asymmetry and how different artists approach the topic.
the process.
5 artists across 5 mediums will contribute one work each week for 5 weeks. Each work will measure (or fit into) a 5inch by 5inch square/cube. The process will be posted via images to a private blog that the 5 artists will all be able to access. The resulting work will be on display during the Wunderruma satellite event called
Wundeweek.

A weekend of pop-up jewellery shows is being organized to connect the energy of K road and Wunderruma, a show of contemporary jewellery opening at the Auckland Art Gallery July 17-20th 2015. Inspired by curator/jewellers Warwick Freeman and Karl Fritsch, the Jewellers Guild of Greater Sandringham and the K Road Business are organising the event. #wunderweek #wunderwhat?
